A CLEARER PICTURE OF PERFORMANCE

A room is more than
a flow-rate calculation.

Supply air has to reach the right places. Furniture, room geometry and vent positions all influence its path. Building CFD makes those relationships visible.

01 / UNDERSTAND

Follow the airflow.

Inspect velocity and pressure to understand air distribution, recirculation and the interaction between supply and extract locations.

02 / COMPARE

Challenge the design.

Keep a baseline, create alternative simulations and examine the effect of changing vent positions, flow rates and room arrangements.

03 / IMPROVE

Design with intent.

Use simulation evidence to guide ventilation optimisation before committing to a layout or making changes on site.

Start with the space you actually have.

Use measured room geometry, openings and simplified obstacles to prepare a connected air volume. Organise independent simulations around the shared building.

Current execution focuses on supported steady, isothermal airflow studies with a connected worker. Thermal, comfort and automatic optimisation capabilities have separate development and validation requirements.

HVAC DESIGN OPTIMISATION

Don’t stop at
the first design.

The real opportunity is in what you change next.

Compare ventilation layouts on the same building model. Explore different vent positions and flow rates, investigate where air circulates, and use the findings to refine your design.

  • Keep baseline and alternative studies organised
  • Review airflow where the room is occupied
  • Make changes with a traceable design rationale

Designer-led comparison is available in the preview. Automatic adjoint optimisation is in development.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Clarity, before
you begin.

Want to discuss a particular building or simulation requirement? Talk to us

What is Climoptix?

Climoptix is a building-focused CFD software workspace for preparing HVAC and ventilation studies, inspecting supported airflow results and comparing design options. It is currently in private preview.

How does CFD help with HVAC design?

Computational fluid dynamics resolves airflow within a room, helping you examine distribution and recirculation around the actual layout. It complements system sizing calculations with spatial information about where air travels.

Can I optimise my ventilation design?

You can prepare alternative scenarios and compare supported simulation results to guide changes to vent locations and flow rates. Automatic adjoint optimisation is in development and is not currently available to run.

Does Climoptix calculate thermal comfort or indoor air quality?

Current solver execution focuses on steady, isothermal airflow. Thermal, buoyancy, CO₂, age-of-air and thermal comfort outputs are not currently offered as validated solved capabilities. Contact us to discuss the scope needed for your project.

How can I access the software?

Climoptix is in private preview. Enquire about a demonstration and access so we can discuss your building, requirements and the current supported workflow.
